Roadtrips, one of the more cost-efficient ways to travel; the cost per passenger is lower than flying, plus you can choose who will sit next to you! The fun of the road trip is the music; singing to the top of your lungs and in good company is better.
Before going on your next trip, ensure you have all the essentials to make your road trip a success!
Snacks! Grab a cooler, and fill it with drinks and fruits. A wide variety of snacks will keep you going, saving you time on the road and money.
Not every rest area is the same; make an “on the go” toiletry bag with tissues, wet wipes, toilet paper, hand soap, and last but not least, hand sanitizer.
Roadtrips are fun, but you must be prepared for unexpected situations; here is when the “emergency totes” come in handy! There are many options of what you can fit on your emergency tote depending on your vehicle's size.
The first tote is the roadside emergency , which can be purchased online or in-store with equipment to aid you in case your car gets stalled on the side of the road.
The second tote is what I dramatically call “ The Survival tote.” for this one, you can use a plastic tote with a lid or a bag. Imagine that you are on the side of the road waiting for the roadside assistance service to arrive; your car’s battery is dead, and it’s getting dark and cold. Which items do you need to stay comfortable while the help arrives? Your answer is what you will add to your tote, in addition to the following tips. To fill this “Survival tote,” you'll need warm blankets (one per passenger is ideal), first aid supplies, and medications for nausea, diarrhea, motion sickness, allergy, and over-the-counter pain and fever relief like Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen. Water bottles and non-perishable protein snacks. A fully charged power bank and a flashlight. If you are traveling with furry friends make sure you include their needs, like food and medicines on your “Survival Tote".
Last but not least; Having a well structured plan will help you stay on schedule, you can prepare your own schedule or use a road trip itinerary planner like Roadtrippers , Wanderlog or Geovea.
